Outing news

We're almost down to the last 2 weeks before the golf outing and I'm excited to see what we will do this year. I went out to the Kalida golf course a few weeks ago to touch base with Greg, here are some pics I took of the course. We currently have 16 teams signed up and 16 hole sponsors have contacted me. Will is still working hard on getting us prizes for the outing, Joe & Stacy have called with some leads on prizes also. The raffle tickets are also going well, at this time I have 365 books out. If anyone has any not sold bring them to the outing and we'll sell them that day.

Since the course will be doing the catering this year, anyone not golfing will be charged $9.75 for the dinner. We will also need 6-8 volunteers that morning around 730a to help with the team sign ups.

Once again, my family has managed to surprise Will and myself with their support with Mindy's Golf Outing. The brothers and sister of my father Bob have donated the money to sponsor our $10,000 hole in one. They have donated this money in Memory of the Lauf family. We would like the opportunity to invite you to be part of the 2nd Annual Mindy S. Lauf golf outing on August 15th at 8am. Mindy passed away almost 2 years ago of AML Leukemia and left behind a young daughter, Madysen. Mady participated in the Putnam County Hospice Good Grief Camp last year to help children who have lost a loved one learn to deal with the grief. At our 1st outing last year, we were able to raise over $3000.00 to help the camp. We have several sponsorship levels this year to help raise money and will also raffle off a set of Ping G 10 irons. I appreciate all help the Lauf family and friends can provide to help us reach our goal of raising $5000.00 this year.

Sponsorship levels:


Hole-In-One $500.00 Help someone walk away with $10,000 in cash. Your sponsorship for the Hole-In-One will pay an insurance premium that pays out the above amount if someone aces a par three.

Hole Sponsors $50.00 your company or family will be displayed on the tee box
To show all the participants your support and generosity.
　
Score Card Sponsors $200.00 3 company logo’s will be put on the score cards, will need the company logo emailed in Jpeg file.

Raffle Tickets We will have books of 6 tickets for $5.00 and our goal is to sell 250 books for a chance to win a set of Ping G 10 irons or equivalent money value spent at Country Acres, $715.00 value. Tickets will be sold up to the day of the outing and winner DOES NOT have to be present to win. If everyone could take these to work, school or just to family and friends it will help us reach our goal.

It’s time for the 2nd Annual outing and I hope everyone is excited as we are to raise a lot of money for the Hospice Grief Camp. Our outing this year will be held at the Kalida Golf course, we have been working with Greg Klausing on different ideas to raise money this year, our goal is to raise $5000.00 this year.

Golf Information:

25 Teams
4- Person Scramble
Shotgun start at 8am
$200.00 per team

This will include your golf, cart and a BBQ chicken dinner. Checks for the outing will need to be made out to the Country Acres Golf Course.

Good Grief Camp

Trina, Linda, Mady, Sandy and Julia Mason and Beth Tobe from the Hospice Good Grief Camp.

Here we are donating the money we raised for the Good Grief Camp. Some of the activities they do at the camp are swimming at the Y, Singing, Tie Dye shirts, arts and crafts, games and horse back riding. Julia sent the information on our outing and this picture to the following newspapers, so keep an eye out for it to be in the papers.
