We would like the opportunity to invite you to be part of the 3rd Annual Mindy S. Lauf golf outing on July 24th at 1pm. Mindy passed away almost 3 years ago of AML Leukemia and left behind a young daughter, Madysen. Mady participated in the Putnam County Hospice Good Grief Camp last year to help children who have lost a loved one learn to deal with the grief. At our 1st outing last year, we were able to raise over $3000.00 to help the camp. We have several sponsorship levels this year to help raise money and will also raffle off  $500.00 cash. I appreciate all help the Lauf family and friends can provide to help us reach our goal of raising $5000.00 this year.

Sponsorship levels:

Hole-In-One $500.00 Help someone walk away with a new car. Your sponsorship for the Hole-In-One will pay an insurance premium that pays out the above amount if someone aces a par three.  Will is currently working with a dealership to get a car, details to follow when he gets this ironed out.

Hole Sponsors $50.00 your company or family will be displayed on the tee box, to show all the participants your support and generosity.

Beverage Cart $200.00 your company name or logo

Dinner Sponsors $200.00 a banner will be made with your family or company name to show your support, will be given to sponsor after outing


Raffle Tickets We will have books of 6 tickets for $5.00 and our goal is to sell 250 books for a chance to win $500.00 cash. Tickets will be sold up to the day of the outing and winner DOES NOT have to be present to win. If everyone could take these to work, school or just to family and friends it will help us reach our goal.

Please make all checks for sponsors out to Trina Lauf, we will have all the fliers and raffle tickets ready by mid-May. It’s time for the 3rd Annual outing and I hope everyone is excited as we are to raise a lot of money for the Hospice Grief Camp. Our outing this year will be held at the Kalida Golf course, we have been working with Greg Klausing on different ideas to raise money again this year.

Golf Information:
25 Teams
4- Person Scramble
Shotgun start at 1pm
$200.00 per team

This will include your golf, golf cart and dinner. Checks for the outing will need to be made out to the Country Acres Golf Course.

A note from Julie Mason Putnam County Hospice

To all of you who took part in the Mindy Lauf Golf Outing...


The staff with Putnam County HomeCare and Hospice would like to thank you for your generous donation made to our Good Grief Fun Camp.



1 year ago, Trina Lauf came to me and said that they were having a golf outing in honor of her sister Mindy and they would like to donate the proceeds to our grief camp. At that time, I started crying because we had used all of our money for that year...in fact, I had been really stretching $500 for almost 4 years...really trying to be good stewards with the money. WE never turned children away for the inability to pay and always saw the camp as a necessary event for children to experience in the event that they suffered a tragic loss...whether sudden or prepared (so to speak)...so that they could continue to have a safe place to express their grief in addition to learning other ways to handle grief.



Children grieve in so many different ways...just as adults do. The key is remembering that they do grieve and that they see how we grieve...good and bad.



This camp has been such an incredible experience for not only the children, but also myself. I am so lucky to be a part of such an incredible group of children and facilitators.

GRAND TOTAL RAISED BY THE OUTING

 Our grand total raised this year in the outing was $3000.00.  Thank you to everyone who donated prizes, sponsored a hole, volunteered and played in the outing this year.  I hope everyone had fun and will look forward to getting next years outing underway.

I've heard several  people have suggestions for next year, keep them coming.

Country Acres Golf Course

Thank you to Greg Klausing and the staff at Country Acres Golf Club.  I've had several people tell me what a great time they had & that your course was one of the best they've played on. Our outing was a huge success this again this year thanks to you and the staff.

We've already schedule next years outing with Greg to be held on August 21st in the afternoon.  I will post all the information in the Spring.  Hope to see everyone again next year.
